Lydig Construction has been building relationships and growing communities across the state of Washington State since 1956. They've weathered economic downturns, leadership shifts, and the challenges that come from continued growth, but they've always faced obstacles head on with honesty and integrity—it's their tradition, foundation, and commitment to the future. Lydig wanted a film that would encapsulate their mission, to attain long-term client preference through a commitment to the values of fairness, honesty, and quality.
Over course of a few weeks, we conducted a series of interviews, sitting down with all tiers of management in search of Lydig's voice. The interviews were transcribed, and the story began to emerge in its raw form. After painstakingly selecting the quotes that were most informative and compelling, we began to construct the “Script” that already lived within the organization. Using a feature film, long form structure, we began arranging that content into our Script.
Armed with a script made purely of real-time interviews, we began production. We traveled to Spokane, Bellevue, and multiple Lydig construction sites to capture the selections on camera. We then captured the sights and sounds of current and completed projects of Lydig, which included aerial footage and trips to remote windmills and archive drawers.
In the end we believe we were able to capture the past and present of Lydig in a way that could give us a glimpse into their future: to continue to build with integrity.
The general response we are getting from staff and business partners and clients is overwhelmingly good. I can’t say enough how much I enjoyed what I find to be [Belief's] key differentiators…your process and your people.. You truly are a talented group who cares about your craft and your client’s success and for that I am truly grateful. Your communication throughout the review process was timely, and extremely thorough, which we have not received on similar projects in the past.... I personally look forward to working with your team soon, and continuing to find ways to tell our story. —Brian
